Relatively new to London these guys are building a reputation fast as the go to place for challenging but fun team training. Using a wide range of equipment and functional movements each session is varied and different. Their Hollywood Super Circuit on Saturdays ramps up the intensity levels and is made even better by an in house DJ.
Fierce Grace Yoga
The people who first brought hot yoga to London in the 90s are number 1 on our list if you want to stay flexible and get in touch with your body. Creating their own unique yoga system means their classes can suit anyones ability making it accessible and effective for everyone. Fierce Grace Yoga not only helps you connect with your body on a spiritual level but will get you super fit and healthy too.
Known as the ‘GQs of gyms’ 1Rebel were the first people to bring you live MCs and their signature classes are designed to make you ‘look better than when you walked in.’ With a real luxury feel they have created an army of followers that buy into their ethos of ‘train hard, play harder’ mentality. If you like to sweat but wouldn’t mind getting a blow dry and prosecco afterwards then these guys might be for the gym for you.
Another relatively new studio in the heart of London Method Movement believes in simple hard training. No fancy equipment or gimmicks (apart from the ‘curve’ their chief distributor of muscle soreness likes to put you on) you can see their philosophy and beliefs throughout the studio - styled by award winning designer Richard Found. It’s a no nonsense studio with a luxurious feel. If you’re worried about the tough workouts though don’t be. Natalia ‘Head of good vibes’ will soon make you realise the only real commitment in life should be to happiness.
One of the first barre inspired studios of it’s kind in London Barrecore offers a workout that is fast, effective and fun. Created by American dancer Niki, Barrecore set out to create a supportive environment for women who wanted a fitness regime that made them feel feminine yet achieve great results fast. We’ve been to their classes and as the guys will tell you they’re not just for women and you’ll be performing challenging moves you never usually would in a gym environment.
Training is only half of the battle. Make sure you are eating well to complement your workouts.
