Refined sugar free cranberry sauce

Limit the amount of refined sugars you’re eating this Christmas by replacing shop bought sauces with our cranberry sauce recipe, made very simply with cranberries and honey. For two people just mix 100g fresh cranberries with 2 tsp honey & 150ml boiling water in a saucepan and simmer for 5 mins.

Mulled wine

It wouldn’t be Christmas without mulled wine! With most recipes being full of sugar though it can be easy to drink a lot more empty calories than you need to. We love this recipe from Hemsley & Hemsley though for a delicious, healthy take on mulled wine. It’s packed full of delicious spices with medicinal properties & will make your house smell amazing!

Coconut oil

We all love roast potatoes & roasted veggies at Christmas and everyone’s got their secret techniques for cooking them, from butter to olive oil & goose fat. The easiest swap you can make is to cook them this year in coconut oil. Not only does coconut oil have a higher smoking point than most other oils but it’s also rich in medium-chain triglycerides, which are made up of healthy fatty acids.
