This week our good friend, Mindful Chef ambassador (and investor) Victoria Pendleton joined us in the Mindful Kitchen for a live Q&A and cookalong. But what did one of Britain’s most successful Olympic athletes have to say when it comes to sticking to your goals?
1.
“Say yes to as many things as possible. After retiring from cycling I decided to try as many things as I could. I look at it as work experience, take every opportunity and try as many sports as you can to find one that sticks. Every year I try to take up new sports to challenge myself – this year it’s freediving.”
2.
“There are often factors that are out of your control, and if you push them harder, it does not mean you will get there faster. Put in time, find joy and remember you’ve got to experience night to appreciate day.”
3.
“Don’t let other people limit what you are capable of. My whole life people have been saying you’re too this, you’re too that, you can’t, you can’t. Well, you can. Be courageous and do it.”
